![]() Sea Street beach is a warm, sandy, ocean beach, perfect for swimming and fishing. The pool is 100 ft away. The area is safe and friendly with lots of foot traffic and good neighbors. The streets are frequented by runners, bikers, and even rollerbladers. There are a number of beaches nearby, and at night, there are a few excellent restaurants within walking distance, both upscale and family style. Menus and information will be provided in a welcome packet. For newcomers, the Cape offers activities for any taste, and many attractions are within a few miles of the cottages. Dennis has two public golf courses, miniature golf, movie theaters, and shopping. For sports enthusiasts, bike trails run across the Cape to the northside and also from Dennis almost to Provincetown. The south side of Dennis is active and exciting with lots to do, while the north side is a quaint, historical setting for antiquing and exploring the natural beauty of olde Cape Cod. For art lovers, the Cape Museum of Fine Arts in Dennis has local artists on display and special, monthly exhibits. Galleries and shows are sprinkled along the roadways, especially along Route 6A, and Orleans, Wellfleet, and Provincetown. A ferry to Nantucket Island leaves from nearby Saquatucket Harbor in Harwich. This is a wonderful day trip and quite a different world from the mainland. Another location for departure is Hyannis, where trips are offered to both Nantucket and its sister island, Martha's Vineyard. Provincetown, at the tip of the Cape, and Barnstable Harbor also run whale watching trips at least three times daily.
